From the Share Sheet (Fastest)

The Share Sheet is the fastest way to save anything on your iPhone or iPad — works in Safari, Chrome, YouTube, Instagram, and any app that supports sharing.

Find content to save

Open a webpage, article, video, or post in any app

Tap Share

Tap the Share button — the box with an upward arrow (⬆)

Tap Snag

Find Snag in the share options and tap it

Tap Add

Review the preview — title, thumbnail, and URL are captured automatically. Tap Add to confirm.

From Inside the App

You can also add snags directly from within the Snag app:
  1. Open Snag and tap the + button (bottom right)
  2. Paste a URL or type one in
  3. Optionally add a title or note
  4. Tap Add

Saving Screenshots

Snag saves screenshots with automatic OCR text extraction — making the text in your screenshots searchable. Method 1 — Share Sheet:
  1. Take a screenshot (Side Button + Volume Up)
  2. Tap the preview thumbnail before it disappears
  3. Tap Share → Snag → Add
Method 2 — From the app:
  1. Tap + in the Snag app
  2. Choose Screenshot
  3. Select the screenshot from your camera roll
  4. Tap Add

Adding Notes

Add a personal note to any snag when saving or afterward:
  • When saving: Tap the note field and type before tapping Add
  • After saving: Open the snag from your Library → tap Edit → update the note → tap Save
Notes are fully searchable.

Editing a Saved Snag

  1. Open your Library and tap the snag
  2. Tap the Edit (pencil) icon
  3. Update the title, note, or collection
  4. Tap Save

Deleting a Snag

  1. Long-press the snag in your Library
  2. Tap Delete
  3. Confirm
Deleted snags cannot be recovered.

Free Tier Limit

On the free plan you can save up to 30 snags. Once you reach 30, you’ll need to upgrade to Premium to continue saving. See Account & Billing for details.
