What is the Library?
Your Library is home to everything you’ve saved. Every snag lives here, sorted by most recently saved first.
Tap Library in the bottom navigation bar to access it.
View Modes
Switch between two view layouts using the toggle icon in the top right:
| Mode | Description |
|---|
| Expanded | Larger cards with full title, description, and thumbnail. Great for visual browsing. |
| Compact | Tight list view — more snags visible at once. Best when you have a large library. |
Filter Chips
At the top of your Library, filter chips let you quickly narrow your view by content source. The default order is:
- Screengrabs — image-based saves (saved via the screenshot method)
- Favorites — your starred snags
- X (Twitter) — posts saved from Twitter/X
- Instagram — content from Instagram
- Facebook — content from Facebook
- LinkedIn — content from LinkedIn
- YouTube — videos from YouTube
- TikTok — content from TikTok
- Reddit — posts from Reddit
- Snapchat — content from Snapchat
- Pinterest — content from Pinterest
- Threads — content from Threads
- Other — everything that doesn’t match a specific source above
Tap any chip to filter. Tap again to clear.
To reorder chips: Long-press any chip and drag it to a new position in the list.
Favorites
Mark any snag as a favorite to keep important saves easy to find:
- Open a snag from your Library
- Tap the star (☆) icon to favorite it
- Favorited snags are flagged for quick access
Hidden Snags
You can hide snags to keep them out of your main Library view without deleting them:
- To hide: Long-press a snag → tap Hide
- To view hidden snags: Go to Settings → Hidden Files — shows a count of hidden items
- To unhide: Open a hidden snag → tap Unhide
Swipe Actions
Every snag in your Library supports quick swipe actions:

| Swipe right | Add to Collection — opens your collections picker |
| Swipe left | Delete — permanently removes the snag |
Swiping left to delete is permanent and cannot be undone.
Selecting Multiple Snags
- Long-press any snag to enter select mode
- Tap additional snags to add them to your selection
- Use the action bar at the bottom to:
- Add to Collection
- Remove from Collection
- Delete
Opening a Snag
Tap any snag to open it. From there you can:
- Open the original link in your browser
- Edit the title or note
- Add to a Collection
- Copy the link
- Share the snag
- Delete the snag
How a Link Opens
The first time you open a snag, Snag asks how you want to open it:

| Open in Snag | Opens the link in Snag’s built-in browser — easy to return to your library |
| Open in Browser | Opens in Safari |
| Open in App | Opens in the native app if installed (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Yelp, Amazon) |
