Overview
Share any collection as a link. Anyone with the link sees a preview of the first 3 snags in their browser, with the rest locked behind a download prompt. This gives recipients a taste of what’s inside and invites them to get Snag to import the full collection.
Sharing a Collection
- Tap Collections and open the collection you want to share
- Tap the Share icon in the top right corner
- If any snags in the collection haven’t been synced to the cloud yet, Snag will upload them first
- A share link is generated — tap Copy Link or use the iOS share sheet to send via Messages, Mail, or any app
What the Recipient Sees
When someone opens your share link in a browser:
- First 3 snags are shown in full — title, description, thumbnail
- Remaining snags are blurred with a lock overlay showing how many more are inside
- Three options are presented:
- Start Free on the Web — sign up at cloud.snaglinks.com (recommended)
- Open in Snag App — opens directly if they already have Snag installed
- Download on the App Store / Google Play — for new users
Importing a Shared Collection
When someone with the Snag app taps Open in Snag App:
- The app opens and shows a preview of the collection and item count
- They tap Add to My Snag
- All snags are copied into their own library as a new collection instantly

Stopping a Share
To deactivate a share link:
- Open the collection
- Tap the ⋯ menu → Stop Sharing
The link immediately stops working for anyone who has it.
Be mindful of what you share — anyone with the link can preview the first 3 snags without an account. Avoid sharing collections with private or sensitive content.
