# Saving Snags

> Add new snags from the web portal

## Adding a Snag

1. Click the **+** button (bottom right of the screen) or press **⌘K** / **Ctrl+K**
2. Paste a URL into the input field
3. Optionally add a note or assign to a collection
4. Click **Add**

Snag automatically fetches the title, description, and thumbnail from the URL.

## What Gets Saved

When you add a snag, Snag automatically captures:

| Field           | Description                    |
| --------------- | ------------------------------ |
| **Title**       | Page title or article headline |
| **URL**         | The full web address           |
| **Description** | Meta description or summary    |
| **Thumbnail**   | Preview image from the page    |
| **Source**      | The website it came from       |
| **Date saved**  | Timestamp of when you saved it |

## Adding Notes

Add context to any snag when saving:

1. Click **+** to open the Add Snag dialog
2. Type your note in the note field
3. Click **Add**

Notes are fully searchable.

## Editing a Saved Snag

1. Click any snag in your Library
2. Click the **Edit** (pencil) icon
3. Update the title or note
4. Click **Save**

## Deleting a Snag

1. Click the **⋯** menu on a snag card
2. Click **Delete**
3. Confirm

<Warning>Deleted snags cannot be recovered.</Warning>
