# Collections

> Organize your snags into folders on iOS

## What are Collections?

Collections are folders that help you organize snags by topic, project, or purpose. Create as many as you need — Recipes, Work Research, Gift Ideas, Travel Plans, anything.

***

## Creating a Collection

1. Tap **Collections** in the bottom navigation
2. Tap the **+** button
3. Choose an icon (emoji) and enter a name
4. Tap **Create**

***

## Reordering Collections

1. Go to **Collections**
2. Tap the **reorder** button (top right)
3. Drag collections into your preferred order
4. Tap **Done**

***

## Adding Snags to a Collection

**From your Library:**

1. Long-press the snag
2. Tap **Collections**
3. Select the collection(s) you want

**Swipe action:**

1. Swipe right on any snag in your Library
2. Tap **Collections**
3. Select from your list

**When saving a new snag:**

1. After entering the URL, tap **Collection**
2. Choose an existing collection or create a new one
3. Tap **Add** — the snag goes straight to that collection

<Note>A snag can belong to multiple collections at the same time.</Note>

***

## Viewing a Collection

1. Tap **Collections** in the navigation
2. Tap any collection to open it
3. Browse all snags inside — same view modes as your Library (Expanded / Compact)

## Swipe Actions Inside a Collection

Every snag inside a collection supports quick swipe actions:

| Swipe | Action |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Swipe right** | Add to another Collection — opens the collections picker |
| **Swipe left** | Remove from this Collection — removes the snag from this collection but keeps it in your Library |

<Note>Swiping left inside a collection removes it from that collection only — it does not delete the snag.</Note>

## Removing a Snag from a Collection

Removing from a collection does **not** delete the snag — it stays in your Library.

1. Open the collection
2. Swipe left on the snag and tap **Remove**

Or use bulk select:

1. Long-press any snag to enter select mode
2. Select the snags you want to remove
3. Tap **Remove from Collection** in the action bar

***

## Sharing a Collection

Share any collection with anyone — even people without a Snag account.

1. Open the collection
2. Tap the **Share** icon (top right)
3. Tap **Copy Link**
4. Send the link via Messages, Mail, or any app

Recipients can view your collection in a browser — no account required.

See [Share Collections](/ios/share-collections) for full details.

## Deleting a Collection

Deleting a collection removes the folder but does **not** delete the snags inside — they stay in your Library.

1. Go to Collections
2. Swipe left on the collection
3. Tap **Delete** and confirm
